Andromeda Galaxy M31

This image was also taken on September 11, 2010. Around 10:30 PM the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) rose above the treetops on the north-eastern horizon. Thus, I had to take an image. The Canon 300D with the f2.8/135 Minolta Rokkor MC lens was still piggyback attached to the Meade 2120. So I pointed the telescope to M31 and took 13 images (ISO 1600; 135mm/f2.8; 216mm on 35mm camera, 30s exposure time). Stacked with RegiStax 5.1. To the left of the Andromeda Galaxy the smaller M110 galaxy is visible.
