Andromeda Galaxy (M31) rising in the Western Horizon

andromedagalaxym31risinginthewesternhorizon.jpg

This image was taken at the 2011 RMSS during the night from June 30 to June 31, 2011. At around 12:45 AM the Andromeda Galaxy was rising in the western horizon. I used the 19mm/f3.8 Vivitar lens on the Canon 300D riding piggyback on the Meade 2120. This is a stack of 5 images, ISO 1600, 30s exposure time for each image. Stacked using IRIS and curved in Nebulosity. Besides the Andromeda Galaxy in the center of the image, the Perseus Double Cluster is also visible in the upper left part of the image.
