Seeing conditions were not good enough to justify going out to the country side, so I stayed at home and took a couple of images using the Panasonic DMC-TZ1 in starry night mode. The camera was mounted on a small equatorial tripod that came with my Meade Polaris 60mm (toy) telescope. I had attached an RA-drive to that tripod for tracking. This is a stack of 4 images with light frames subtracted in Nebulosity. 60 s exposure time (with in camera dark frame subtraction), 5.2 mm focal length (35 mm equivalent in 35 mm camera). Nice to see Alcor and Mizar being split. These point and shoot cameras are not too bad. Taken on February 19, 2015.
