Great Globular Cluster, M13

greatglobularclusterm13.jpg

This is my first image taken in prime focus technique. The moon was more than half full and it was not the best night to take pictures. Anyway, I took several images of M13 using the Canon 300D connected directly to the Meade 2120 (on a motor driven equatorial wedge). Exposure time was 30s, ISO 800. I combined 3 dark frames to a "master dark frame" and subtracted the master dark frame from all light frames (the ones of M13) using my own "hotpix removal" software. I then used Rot'n Stack to stack the 8 best images. Taken October 16, 2010.
