Lunar Eclips, September 27, 2015

lunareclipsseptember272015.jpg

The lunar eclipse on September 27, 2015 was special because the full moon was at perigee (closesed approach to the earth). I set up two cameras (Canon 300D and Canon 350D) with a 500mm f/8 mirror lens (no-name with Minolta MD bayonet) on the 300D (converted to accept Minolta MD lenses) and a 16mm Vivitar lens on the 350D (via an adapter with glass for Minolta MD lenses). Exposure times with the 16mm lens was 1/60s exposure time for the "blood moon" image was 5s at ISO 1600. Taken September 27,2015.
