Taken on August 12, 2010 from Scott Park in Iowa City. I went out to Scott Park for the Perseid meteor shower this night. While observing the meteors, I took this image of the Milky Way using my Canon 300D piggyback on the Meade Polaris 60-EQ. I used a Minolta MD Rokkor 28mm, f/2.8 lens to which a fisheye adapter (0.42x) was attached (effective focal length 19mm on 35mm camera). This is a composit of 43 images with various ISO settings (800-1600) and exposure times (10s to 30s). Given that Scott Park is light polluted from cars traveling on Scott Boulevard, the image came out fine.
