The North America Nebula near Deneb (the bright star at the top edge of the image) is an emission nebula in Cygnus. Stack of 14 images (30s exposure time each, 7 min total), taken at ISO 1600 with the Canon 300D and 135mm/f2.8 Minolta Rokkor MC lens mounted piggyback on the Meade 2120. Taken at the Rocky Mountain Star Stare 2011 star party in Gardner, CO. What a clear and dark sky! Taken on June 30, 2011.
