On the same cold winter night at which I took the image of the Orion Nebula (January 8, 2011), I also shot this image of the Rosette Nebula (Caldwell 49). Again, the Canon 300D with f2.8/135mm Minolta Rokkor MC lens was mounted piggy back on a small 4.5" reflector. I took a total of 32 images (1x25s, 27x30s, 1x70s, 1x71s, 1x139s, 1x199s, total exposure time: 21:54min). I was surprised, that the Nebula actually came up after image processing.
