On Memorial Weekend 2011, my friend Kumar from the Iowa City Astronomy Club and I were stargazing in Sokum Ridge park near Washington, IA. Kumar brought his Sony DSC-HX100V digital camera. So we mounted it piggy back on the Meade 2120 (10" SCT) and we took this image. Exposure: f/2.8, 30s exposure time, ISO 3200, 5mm (equivalent to 28mm on 35mm camera). Taken September 4, 2011.
