Also taken on April 30, 2011 using the f3.5/200mm Minolta Rokkor (on Canon 300D) mounted piggy back on a small 4.25" reflector mounted on a motorized mount. Stack of 31 images (30s exposure time, ISO-1600). Stacked using DeepSkyStacker, processed in Nebulosity. I like how the spiral arms are visible and seem to connect M51 with the smaller companion galaxy NGC5195.
