Milky Way in Cygnus

milkywayincygnus.jpg

On November 6, 2010 my wife, Margarita, joint me for an observing session at Kent Park by Tiffin, IA. I used the Canon 300D piggy back on the Meade 2120 (mounted on an equatorial motor drive mount) with a Minolta MC Rokkor 135mm/f2.8 lens. 13 exposures, ISO 800, 30s, stacked using the program Nebulosity v2.3.0. The bright star in the center of the image is Sadr, the center star of the Northern Cross (Cygnus). There are a few faint reddish glowing gas clouds around Sadr. Taken 10-06-2010.
