Milky Way in the Northern Cross

Milky Way in the Northern Cross taken at the Rocky Mountain Star Stare (RMSS) event 2010. This image was taken piggyback with a Nikon Coolpix 995 (modified for near infrared) mounted on a Meade 2120 telescope mounted on a tracking mount. Camera settings F2.8, f8.2mmm (38mm equivalent on 35mm cameras), ISO 400, exposure times: 43s, 22s, 10s, 20s, 6s, 12s, and 8x8s. One darkframe subtracted from all individual images, stacked with Rot'n Stack, and normalized in XnView. I have never seen the Milky Way so clearly as at the RMSS. Taken June 9, 2010.
